Cooking for a Group
The kitchen is the reason most groups choose the LKR 37,000 rate. There is a gas hob, a fridge, and a dining table long enough that nobody has to eat standing up — which matters when there are ten of you.
If cooking is not how you want to spend your holiday, add a cook for LKR 5,000. You buy the ingredients, they handle the rest. Between that and the BBQ stand outside, most groups never leave the property for meals.
Villa Idda does not have a restaurant of its own, but our staff are happy to arrange food from a nearby restaurant if you would rather order in.
Space to Spread Out
Villa Idda was custom-built rather than converted, so the ground floor flows from lounge to dining to the poolside terrace without anyone squeezing past anyone else. There is a second lounge upstairs that opens onto a balcony, which tends to become the quiet room.
Bedrooms are split across both floors. If you are travelling with grandparents or very young children, tell us when you book and we will allocate the ground-floor rooms to them.
The grounds are enclosed and there is a lawn beyond the pool. Please note the pool is not fenced separately, so young children should be supervised.

The villa is at 38 B, Pitumpe North, Padukka 10500, in Sri Lanka's Colombo District — close to Meepe, Waga, Hanwella and Kaluaggala, and about 45 km (roughly one hour) from Colombo.
